Christopher started his career at the Intellectual Property Office – also known as the Patent Office. Here he spent seven valuable years as a Patent Examiner covering a diverse range of technical subject matter before launching his own business, Robertson IP.
Christopher uses his expertise to make the patent system more accessible to private inventors and small businesses. He advises clients on the application and prosecution process for patents, registered trademarks and registered designs, and drafts applications and submits them on behalf of clients.
Integrity is key to what Christopher does and he will advise potential clients immediately if it is clear that their invention would not be patentable or commercially useful, and he does not charge for this advice.
Christopher has a master’s degree in physics from the University of Durham and a post-graduate diploma in intellectual property law from the University of South Wales. He also spent two years studying philosophy at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.
